ORGANISATION TEAM SO.. 2026

Our team doesn’t just organize an event, we build a space where the entire community comes together. We organise literally with heart and soul.

Bianca Kersten – Founder & Organiser

So… You Can Longboard Dance was founded in 2013 by Bianca Kersten. Since its first edition, she has been the driving force behind the event through her non-profit, Flow Provider.

Bianca has been active in action sports and street culture for more than two decades. Since 2002, she has organised numerous projects and large events centered around street culture and action sports. Her work has always focused on one core idea: helping people discover a passion, connect with a community, and shape a life driven by creativity and movement.

While Bianca practices many board sports herself, most of her time on a board is spent in the water. She is an avid surfer and strapless kitesurfer. She has a (kite)surf guesthouse in Tarifa Spain, where water sports and community is central to daily life.

Through Flow Provider, Bianca spent nearly twenty years developing large-scale school and youth programs that introduced thousands of young people to street culture and board sports. Longboarding grew naturally out of these projects through a personal hobby, combining sports, flow, and community.

The idea for the World Championship Longboard Dance & Freestyle began in Eindhoven. At the time, Bianca was working with owners of the Klokgebouw. She initiated a Sunday skate sessions in the building with her crew, Eindhoven Roll City. The idea which started as being a local gathering quickly attracted riders from across the world. The atmosphere, creativity, and level of riding revealed that longboard dancing deserved a global stage. From that moment on, the event began to take shape.

Today, Bianca’s vision reaches far beyond a single competition. Her dream is to see longboard competitions and communities in every country, supported by a global network of longboard teachers working both inside and outside schools. By combining sport, creativity, and education, she believes longboarding can inspire people everywhere to move, express themselves, and build meaningful communities.

And from those first skate session in the Klokgebouw, the rest is history.

Bekah and Jet

The ‘every step of the way’ driving forces behind Bianca, are Bekah and Jet, who many already know from both the community and the judging panel.

Bekah brings unmatched energy wherever she goes. Known for her screams, smiles, and incredible vibe, she is a true community builder at heart. After being a key force in the Rotterdam scene, organising events across the city, she is now the beating heart of her new community in Malmö through Skåne Rolle. As being also part of the judging team, she combines her deep community roots with a strong eye for progression, style, and rider expression. Bekah also has a beautiful dog named Margot.

And where there is Bekah, there is Jet. Sometimes people even wonder if they are the same person. Jet is a cornerstone of the Dutch skate community and plays a key role both in organising and judging. With a sharp eye for detail and a deep love for the sport, Jet is all about one thing: skating, seeing others skate, and bringing the entire community together. Jet also has a beautiful dog named Pom.
