SO.. like to learn to compete in the future and interested in experiencing what it’s like? Then the SO.. Amateur program is the perfect opportunity for you!
This program is set-up to provide participants with a taste of what it’s like to compete at the grand stage.
Enjoy an exclusive 1-hour class (Saturday at 11.00) from two experienced coaches, Emiel Hu, Eva Koster & Mitchel Breuer, and followed by a short run (without judges) in front of our dedicated SO.. crowd!
During the class you will learn:
*how to mentally prepare for competitions
*how the judging system works
*which decisions you can make to optimalize your run to your own preference
Furthermore, the coaches will be there to answer your own questions. Last, but surely not least: you’ll have a whole area to yourselves
to practice for your run!

Emiel Hu Sheng Schoneveld
Meet Emiel from Groningen, the Eierbal City!
Part of the Timber Boards family and a longboard instructor in his free time, Emiel loves building new connections with people through skating. He thinks the Amateur Program is a great way for upcoming riders to get involved in the event and secretly wished the program had already existed when he started out. π€«

Mitchel Beuer
Meet our Rotterdam crew member and team rider for True Supplies! He’s also a coach at the Longboard Summer Academy in Berlin, where he loves sharing his expertise. He’s super stoked to be coaching the amateur divisions at this year’s World Championship again.

Eva Koster
Eva is practicing longboard dancing and freestyle together with her crew βGroningen On Boardβ. She joined her first competition only one month in and is loving competing ever since. She hosts events and is part of the organization of βOh My G.O.B.!β. Even though Eva is quite a newbie to the scene, it brings her joy and satisfaction to help evolve tis already awesome community and getting people on board! Eva looks forward to passing on her competition experience to you!
